Thursday Morning Petting Zoo Playgroups Indoors at Book People!At 10 & 11 am.
Located at 603 N Lamar Blvd**These events are by RSVP only.Each hour-long indoor program will include- An interactive story time
- 20-30 minutes of holding and petting our adorable animals
- An age-appropriate educational animal craft
- We may also include time with balloons and bubbles for our youngest guests.
Are these events educational?Yes! Our goal at Tiny Tails is to teach children about our animal friends. During the petting zoo portion of the playgroups, we give interesting facts about the animals. Our crafts always explore a certain trait or feature of an animal while still offering creativity and fun.What sort of craft should you expect?Our crafts explore a certain trait or feature of one of our petting zoo animals. For example, we will get a lot of up-close time with our tortoise friends while we make our own tortoise shells to wear out of a ready-formed cardboard shell, felt, glue, colorful paper and rope.See the RSVP schedule below to see the "craft of the day" for our upcoming events.Do I need to stay with my child?Yes, children must be accompanied by an adult. Although we will have at least two staff members there, these programs are for parents and children alike.
