Tia Carrera is a heavy metal, stoner-blues band hailing from Austin, TX. They play a uniquely heavy, dirty, raw brand of instrumental metal that must be experienced live to truly be appreciated There's a sultriness to A Giant Dog's lurching garage rock that has as much to do with the sweat drippping from frontwoman Sabrina Ellis' impassioned "oohs" and "ahhs" as it does the swampy stains of blues and country she and her bandmates smear across their bad-vibes proto-punk influences. A Giant Dog thrives on a raw and untreated sound, heavily influenced by beer, The Coasters, The Stooges and Velvet Underground.
